Research Assistant Position in Visual Psychophysics for Vision Rehabilitation

Position available for a full-time research assistant to work in the low
vision rehabilitation lab at the Schepens Eye Research Institute, Harvard
Medical school (see http://www.eri.harvard.edu/faculty/peli/index.html).
The lab conducts research on image processing in relation to visual
function, clinical psychophysics in low-vision rehabilitation, image
understanding and evaluation of display-vision interaction, oculomotor
control and binocular vision.

The job would involve assisting with experiments, including all phases of
the research from the design of experiments to the preparation of stimulus
materials, the running of subjects, the analysis of the data, and the
preparation of the data in figures for talks and papers.

This position requires at least a BA/BS in an area related to vision
science, extensive experience with Mac and PC environments, and the ability
to problem solving on your own. Any knowledge of experimental psychology,
visual psychophysics, or statistics would be a plus. This job is ideal for
anyone interested in research in vision science and is an ideal
stepping-stone to graduate school. Commitment of at least one year is
required, two years preferred. Excellent benefits are provided.
