Hoover -- Please post the following announcement on CVNet. Thanks.

Please make this notice available to potentially interested students.

The Psychology Department at Clemson University has four or five openings
for the Fall 2000 semester in our Human Factors (Engineering) Psychology
Masters' Program. All students are fully funded and receive a substantial
reduction in tuition and fees. Tuition and fees are reduced to under $500
per semester for all students. Additionally, students complete a paid
internship in the summer between the first and second years of the
program. Program emphasis is placed on the methods needed to evaluate the
capabilities and limitations of human performance in real-world technical
environments. Potential areas of research include: perception,
user-centered design methods, usability testing, transportation safety,
display design, workload analysis, human computer interaction, cognitive
processes, motor control, control systems, transfer of training, and
physical ergonomics.

Our Human Factors graduates have been unusually successful; 100% have
enjoyed either relevant employment in industry or admission into a relevant
doctoral program. The Clemson M.S. program in Human Factors Psychology is
accredited by the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society. Interested
students are encouraged to visit our web site at
http://hubcap.clemson.edu/psych/psych.html We actively seek applications
from minority students.
