Subject: Post-doc position in Visual Attention

POSTDOCTORAL POSITION AVAILABLE
IN VISUAL ATTENTION
HARVARD MEDICAL SCHOOL
BRIGHAM AND WOMEN'S HOSPITAL, BOSTON, MA

Applications are invited for a postdoctoral position in the
area of visual attention. The lab studies how items are selected by
attention and investigates the consequences of that selection. The
relationship between vision and memory is a topic of current interest
as is the relationship of deployments of attention to movements of the eyes.
We are open to new projects in related areas. Applicants should
have a strong background in some area of vision or cognitive science.
Background in eye movement research would be of particular interest
but the prime requirements are an interest in visual attention and
clear evidence of an ability to take a research problem from idea
to results. Programming experience is an important asset.

More information about the current interests of our lab can be obtained
from our website, search.bwh.harvard.edu.

The lab is located in the Harvard Medical School area and
maintains close contact with other labs in the Boston vision
community. Starting time is relatively flexible. Interested individuals
should send a CV, a summary of past research experience, and a letter
explaining current interest in this position. (email is fine).
