Unilever Research (UK) in coordination with University of Wales Bangor
(Prof. Jane Raymond)

Unilever, one of the world's largest consumer goods companies, has a
research

opening for a high-level visual perception scientist. Unilever
operates

an experimental psychology research laboratory in the North West of
England

and has close ties with the Psychology Department at the University of

Wales Bangor. We are seeking a person with a PhD in Psychology,

preferably with post doctoral experience in areas related to

higher-level human visual perception (e.g.,object perception,

attention, vision & action, visual memory, scene analysis,
higher-level

aspects of human visual neuroscience, cross-modal studies). You will

investigate issues of visual perception as they relate to consumer

perceptions of and interactions with, products, advertising, pack
design

and product testing. You will develop your own research program and

have opportunities to develop and maintain collaborations with
academic

vision scientists. You will have opportunities to participate in

academic activities at Bangor where there is a top rated (5A, RAE)

group of cognitive and perception scientists.
