SPECIAL ISSUE OF PERCEPTION AND PSYCHOPHYSICS
In visual search tasks, it is often easier to find stimulus A among
stimulus B distractors than to find B among A. These "search asymmetries"
have been of considerable theoretical interest since Treisman's work in the
early 80's. This special issue will concentrate modern work in the area in
a single, readily accessible source.
To be considered for the special issue, papers should be submitted by March
1 to the main editorial office:
Neil A. Macmillan, Editor
Department of Psychology
Brooklyn College, CUNY
2900 Bedford Ave.
Brooklyn, NY 11210-2889
Manuscripts should follow the standard rules for submission to Perception
and Psychophysics and will be reviewed in the normal manner. The cover
letter accompanying the submission should note that the paper is intended
for the special issue. Presubmission questions can be addressed to Jeremy
Wolfe, Assoc. Editor, at wolfe@search.bwh.harvard.edu.
