Applications are invited from suitably qualified people for the following
vacancies in the School of Psychology. Successful candidates for these
positions will teach at the undergraduate and graduate level, supervise
post-graduate research, and contribute at a significant level to the Schoolís
research programme.

The appointments will be made at a variety of academic levels. New Zealand
follows the British academic classification, where a Senior Lectureship is
equivalent to an Associate Professor, and a Lecturer to an Assistant
Professor.]

SENIOR LECTURESHIP/LECTURESHIP
CRIMINAL JUSTICE/FORENSIC/CORRECTIONAL PSYCHOLOGY

In addition to the duties outlined above, the successful candidate will be
involved with the Post-Graduate Diploma in Clinical Psychology. A PhD and/or a
recognised post-graduate clinical qualification, and evidence of extensive
experience with offender populations will be preferred.

Applications are welcomed from persons with expertise in any area of criminal
justice, forensic or correctional psychology, including assessment, treatment
and rehabilitation of adolescent or adult offenders, investigative psychology,
forensic clinical psychology, or criminal psychology.

SOCIAL PSYCHOLOGY/DEVELOPMENTAL PSYCHOLOGY

For this position the School is particularly interested in seeking candidates
with teaching and research interests in one of the following areas:
experimental social psychology, the social psychology of aging, judgement and
decision making, cultural psychology or social/emotional development.

The preferred candidate will have a PhD and be able to show evidence of
successful teaching and research.
