Subject: Query about projectors for stereo
Hi,
I am looking to buy a video projector to generate large-field
stereoscopic displays using frame alternation. The 3-chip DLP projectors
seem ideal (bright, no persistence, all optical), but are very large and
expensive (>$50k). I guess that a 1-chip DLP projector would work if I
removed the color wheel, but these projectors seldom have refresh rates
above 60Hz. I think (but am not certain) that LCD projectors would not
work well because they are slow (long equivalent persistence).
If anyone has any experience to share or advice about which way to
go, I would most appreciate hearing about it.
Thanks,
Greg DeAngelis
