    Biosciences/Research Faculty Position

    The New England College of Optometry is seeking applications for a
    full-time, tenure track, faculty position at the level of Assistant or
    Associate Professor.

    The successful candidate must have the Ph.D., O.D., or M.D. degree, and a
    track record of independent research. He/she will be expected to establish
    an externally funded program in biologically based research in the eye or
    visual system, and to involve optometry students interested in laboratory
    research. Teaching assignments will be based on the candidates background
    and institutional needs, but preference will be given to candidates with
    teaching experience in general and/or ocular pharmacology. A strong
    commitment to teaching is required.

    Applicants should submit a curriculum vitae, a concise description of
    research interests and goals, and the names of three professional
    references by March 1, 2000 to:
