SENIOR LECTURESHIP/LECTURESHIP IN PERCEPTION

Applications are invited from suitably qualified people for this vacancy in the
School of Psychology. The successful candidates will teach perception at the
undergraduate and graduate level and supervise post-graduate research.
Candidates should have a PhD and show evidence of successful research and
teaching in perception. Preference will be give to applicants whose particular
interests lie in one or more of the following areas: visual psychophysics,
visual attention and memory, object and face recognition, perceptual
organisation, visual word recognition, and ergonomics.
The appointment can be made at a variety of academic levels. New Zealand
follows the British academic classification, where a Senior Lectureship is
equivalent to an Associate Professor, and a Lecturer to an Assistant Professor.
Closing date for applications: 8 May 2000 or when positions are filled.
