    Postdoctoral Fellowship Immediately Available: Applications are invited
    for
    (at least) two-year postdoctoral position at the Instituto de Optica
    (CSIC),
    Spain. Well qualified PhD students will be also considered.

    Requirements: Familiarity with basic image processing science;
    experience with programming languages (e.g., Matlab, IDL or C++).

    Preferred: Experience in medical image processing or interpretation,
    psychophysical experiments, functional imaging or medical imaging
    instrumentation will be valued.

    Job profile: to develop quantitative models to predict human visual
    detection of lesions in medical images. These models are to be used
    for automated evaluation/optimization of medical image
    quality. The job also offers opportunities to work in other projects
    including models of visual perception, functional imaging and video
    microscopy. The successful applicant will integrate in the R&D
    activities of the Department. Salary will depend on
    qualifications and will be competitive.

    Interested candidates should send a CV containing a brief summary of
