    Applications are invited for a research assistant to work in the
    Princeton University Psychology Department on visual perception, memory,
    and attention, including some fMRI studies.

    The person appointed would help in the daily running of a laboratory
    belonging to Anne Treisman, programming and preparing experiments,
    organizing a subject pool and running subjects, analyzing data,
    cooperating with graduate students, taking part in lab meetings and
    discussions, and doing some library searches. Programming skill with
    Macintosh computers essential (not just word-processing), and B.A. with
    courses in Psychology preferred.
     The position offers opportunities for participation in experimental
    design and reporting. It would give the holder some experience of
    research in a variety of topics in experimental psychology, which could
    be a useful preparation for graduate school or professional training in
    related areas. There will also be some work testing the behavioral
    studies also with fMRI and with neurological patients. The position is
    for at least one year and preferably two. Starting date would ideally be
    January 1, 2001, but could be as soon as September 1, 2000 or any time
    in between. Salary will be commensurate with experience.
