Subject: Modelfest meeting at ARVO
People who might be interested in joining a future Modelfest data
collection group are invited to attend a meeting at ARVO on Thursday,
May 4 in Room 305, right after the Attention session (12:30).
The goal of the Modelfest project is to collect data that we think
will challenge present models of spatial vision. The idea is to have
a number of labs collect common data that would then be used to
compare various models. The year 1999/2000 data collection has been
on a wide variety of detection stimuli. At the ARVO meeting we will
discuss year 2000/2001 data collection to pin down suprathreshold
masking models. All you need is a pc or a mac, since software can be
provided for both platforms to collect the data and to calibrate.
