St-Petersburg State University of Aerospace Instrumentation (Russia)
invites applicants for
(i) post-graduate position for 3 years (in a distance learning form 4
years) in the area of digital image processing;
(ii) training in the area of digital image processing, human visual
system modeling, psychophysics of vision. The training period is from 1
month to 10 months.
Applicants successfully graduated this course are awarded by
University's certificate.
The training is performed in English (or in Russian) under supervision
of professor, doctor of sciences Nikolay Krasilnikov
(http://www.aanet.ru/~nnk/ )
Candidates should have university education and should be interested in
human visual system modeling and in researches of vision perception.
The aim of this training is to improve knowledge and skill of
applicants in visual science - digital image processing, psychophysics
methods, data statistical analysis, visual system modeling on the basis
of statistical theory of decision, experimental and industrial
psychology, visual performance, software development.
The University provides the reduced price of hostel accommodation ($40
per a month).
Additional facilities in accordance with wishes of training
participants:
course of Russian for beginners;
programming;
course of Russian history and so on
All applicants will have the opportunity to visit the famous sights of
one of the most beautiful cities in the world - St-Petersburg - and its
environments with numerical palaces, parks, museums. St-Petersburg is
well known as a cultural center of Russia and it is the city of hockey
World Championship 2000. Cultural program also includes excursions to
the leading scientific centers of St-Petersburg.
