The Rotman Research Institute of Baycrest Centre, affiliated with the
University of Toronto, has an opening for a 2+ year post-doctoral
research fellowship in the area of Visual Perception and Attention.
The research, to be conducted with Kathleen O'Craven, will use fMRI to
explore how cognitive processes influence sensory processing in
extrastriate visual cortex.
The position is to begin in January, 2001 (negotiable) and is for two
years with the possibility of continuing. Applicants who are eligible
for funding from Canadian agencies are expected to apply to the
appropriate agencies. Salary is in line with the fellowship scales of
the Medical Research Council of Canada, and includes an allowance for
travel and research expenses. Applicants should have a Ph.D., M.D.,
or equivalent degree. A background in cognitive psychology or a
related field is essential. Experience with functional neuroimaging
is desirable, but not necessary.
