COLE EYE INSTITUTE, CLEVELAND CLINIC FOUNDATION
    POSTDOCTORAL POSITION

A postdoctoral position is available in a laboratory that is moving this
summer to the newly-established research facilities of the Cole Eye
Institute at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation. In the past, a major
focus of our laboratory has been the identification of animal models of
human retinal diseases and assessment of retinal structure and visual
function using electroretinography, anatomical, biochemical, and
behavioral techniques. This focus will continue at the Cole Eye
Institute, and the work will involve the characterization of visual
function in rodent models of retinal diseases, generated spontaneously
or by molecular techniques. Candidates should have a strong background
in vision research and/or in anatomical or electrophysiological
techniques. The position will involve extensive collaboration with
other members of the research team at the Cole Eye Institute, which is
focussed on hereditary retinal disease. Support is available for a
2-year period, beginning October 1, 2000. Interested applicants should
submit a copy of their CV and contact information for three references
to: Neal S. Peachey, Research Service (151), Hines VA Hospital, Hines,
    IL 60141 (U.S.A.). (peachey@research.hines.med.va.gov; fax
    (708-202-2319).

The Cleveland Clinic Foundation is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
