Academic Appointments
Applications are invited for two Lectureships/Senior Lectureships in
the Department of Optometry and Visual Science.
The Department of Optometry and Visual Science is seeking to
make two appointments to strengthen further our research and
teaching activities. The appointees will be expected to develop their
own research interests within the current broad range of clinical
and applied visual research that is coordinated through the
Department=92s Applied Vision Research Centre. Ideally, the
research interests of the appointees will be in the areas of
biological sciences, electrodiagnostics, electrophysiological control
of accommodation and vergence, mathematical modelling, or
clinical optometry. Applicants with an interest and experience in
other related areas of vision research will also be considered. A
proven track record in research is essential for these positions, as
is a high degree of flexibility and commitment.
Those appointed may be involved in a number of aspects of
teaching, including biological sciences, optometric dispensing, and
mathematics for optometrists. Appointees will be expected to
contribute to the administration of the Department. Both
appointments will commence in October 2000.
Salary Scale from =A319,372 to =A337,804 per annum.
