Two postdoctoral positions in human visual psychophysics have become
available at the McGill Vision Research Unit. The positions are for
research into the combination of early-stage filters (both luminance
and chromatic) for the perception of edges, surfaces and textures (3D
as well as 2D). Candidates should have, or nearly have, a PhD and
preferably experience with graphics programming (e.g. Macintosh, VSG).=20
The McGill Vision Research Unit consists of about fifteen
faculty/postdocs/graduate-students working on neurophysiological,
psychophysical, computational and brain-imaging aspects of vision.=20
Montr=E9al is a very pleasant and relatively inexpensive city. Salary
will be according to MRC/NSERC (Canada) guidelines and experience of
candidate. =20
