Subject: Research Assistant in Visual Perception
Applications are invited for a research assistant to work in the QueenÕs University at the
School of Psychology on visual perception (Ref: 00/F528C). This position has been
funded by BBSRC for 3 years . The topic is ÒLightness InductionÓ.
Applicants must have a primary degree in psychology or other related area (e.g. visual
science, neuroscience, computer science, and image analysis) and a background in
experimental psychology or other related area. Applicants should preferably have, or
must be willing to learn, the skills in visual psychophysics, computational modelling
and statistics. Other desirable criteria are noted on the further particulars.
Salary range: £16,286 - £18,185 per annum, initial placing depending on age,
experience and qualifications.
Closing date: 5.00 pm, Friday 11 August 2000.
It is anticipated that interviews will be held on 1 September 2000.
