POSTDOCTORAL RESEARCH ASSISTANT Ref:ROP2209
Up to =A319,869 per annum
A one year post-doctoral position is available in the Department of
Optometry, University of Bradford. The research, which is funded by the
EPSRC, concerns the psychophysics of human texture perception.
Specifically, the aim is to test psychophysically a generic class of models
of texture perception. The Visual Neuroscience group within the Department
of Optometry is both growing and vibrant and the successful candidate will
be encouraged to pursue their own research goals and interact within the
group.
Candidates should normally hold or have nearly completed a PhD in vision
science, psychology, optometry or other scientific field. Experience in
some or all of the following areas is preferred: human visual
psychophysics, programming, computer-generated stimulus design,
mathematical/numerical skills, background in human or computer vision.
