    Several postdoctoral and PhD positions in vision are available at the
    Ruhr-University Bochum, Germany.

    One project is concerned with the dynamic visual space perception during
    eye movements and representation of space in the brain . This is an
    international collaboration with laboratories in Italy and the US, funded
    for three years by the Human Frontier Science Program. Another project is
    concerned with the mechanism of high level visual motion perception and
    the recognition of biological motion. This project is funded for five
    years by the German Ministry of Science and Technology. For more

    For both projects, applications are invited from researchers interested in
    computational neuroscience, computer vision, visual psychophysics or
    neurophysiology. Starting date could be immediately or in early 2000.
    Salary depends on experience level.

    The Ruhr University Bochum is located in the western part of Germany.
    There is a large and active visual science community with working groups
    in several departments including the Dept.of Zoologie and Neurobiologie,
    the Institute for Neuroinformatics, the Dept. of Physiology, and the Dept.
    of Psychology. The special research action "NEUROVISION" and the graduate
    program KOGNET provide a forum for interdisciplinary research in vision
    within the university.
