---------------------
The Magniphi website:
http://www.psych.purdue.edu/Magniphi
which was referenced in the recent Mini Review by Steinman, R.M.,
Pizlo, Z. & Pizlo, F.J. (2000) "Phi is not beta, and why Wertheimer's
discovery launched the Gestalt Revolution" Vision Research, 40, 2257-64,
now contains the text and demonstration used in the talk given on this
subject at the ARVO Meeting last May.
This website also contains a demonstration that allows the visitor to vary
many of the parameters effecting phi, beta, as well as "Magniphi", our new
version of Wertheimer's pure movement phenomenon.
An archive of this site is also available in different formats, viz.,
"archive.zip" for Windows and "archive.tar.gz" for unix-type operating
systems. Downloading an archive is the best way to make use of our
materials for teaching and research. Feel free to do so.
Reprints of the VR Mini review can be obtained by contacting any one of
the authors.
