ARVO '98
2:00 PM - 4:00 PM, Thursday, May 14th, Room 204, Convention Center
An informal SIG meeting during ARVO to discuss HMDs.
There has now been a number of published papers on visual function and
HMDs. The use of HMDs or stereo displays prompts some interesting and
important questions regarding safety, comfort, adaptation and visual
perception.
If you have an interest in (i) HMDs, stereo displays, other 'Virtual
Reality' displays or traditional display technologies, or (ii) binocular
vision, adaptation, eye-strain, symptomatic individuals etc then we'd
like to invite you to join us.
We'd like to decide on a format for the meeting (a couple of talks to
kick things off and then an open discussion, or something more or less
structured) so if you have some results or thoughts you'd like to
present, or opinions on the format please let us know.
Please RSVP so that we can check that we've reserved an appropriate size
room (and enough tea and coffee).
