The Schepens Eye Research Institute, an affiliate of Harvard Medical
School, seeks well-qualified (M.D., M.D./Ph.D. ,Ph.D. or O.D.) applicants
for a position at the Assistant Professor level to develop an independent
research program in low vision rehabilitation. Candidates should have
experience and training in low vision rehabilitation research, such as
reading research, device development and evaluation, outcome measures, or
mobility and driving. Experience, training and knowledge in psychophysics,
study design and statistical analysis, especially as applied to clinical
studies, is also preferred. Candidates are expected to establish their own
independent research program, and to develop substantive collaborations
with other members of the faculty working in the general area of low vision
rehabilitation, to be active in training of pre- and post-doctoral fellows,
and to participate as a member of the Harvard Medical School Faculty.
