The Institute of Cognitive Neuroscience, University College London (UK),
anticipates appointing 3 Research Associates/Post docs, for posts beginning
in October 98, or in January 1999. The appointments would be for 2 years in
the first instance, extendable for a further three years to yield a total
of 5 years in post. These appointments will be on a Medical Research
Council (UK) Programme grant, to be awarded to Prof Jon Driver & Dr Martin
Eimer, on "Crossmodal Attention and Spatial Representation". The
responsibilities of each post would be as follows:

Post 1. Conducting ERP studies of crossmodal attention in normals, and in
neurological patients suffering from spatial attentional deficits, such as
neglect and/or extinction.

Post 2. Conducting functional imaging studies (fMRI, event-related fMRI and
PET) on the above topics.

Post 3. Clinical testing of neurological patients on these topics, plus
conducting psychophysical experiments.

The 3 post-holders would be expected to collaborate, and thus would have
some involvement with all of the methods. The Institute of Cognitive
Neuroscience offers a unique environment for interdisciplinary
collaborations of this kind.

A first degree and PhD in Psychology or a related discipline are required,
together with relevant experience and a proven commitment to research.

Informal enquiries can be addressed to j.driver@ucl.ac.uk, and/or
