Excellent German or international students are encouraged to apply
for the 3-year Doctoral Program of the Graduate Research
Center 3D Image Analysis and Synthesis at the University of
Erlangen-Nuremberg, Germany.
The Graduate Research Center offers an interdisciplinary research and
teaching program, with emphasis on 3-D image acquisition and analysis
and their application to medicine and engineering. The

Applicants must hold the equivalent of a Diploma or Master's degree in
a relevant field and be proficient in English. The application should
include
- a resume
- academic transcript
- names of at least two references
- preferred research area(s).
The Graduate Research Center is supported by the German Research
Foundation (Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft, DFG) and the State of
Bavaria. Fellowships are available for successful applicants starting
January 1, 1999.
These fellowships are granted for 2 years initially and can be
extended by an additional year.
Erlangen offers the pleasant environment and atmosphere of a

in nearby Nuremberg.
