Senior Professorship in Visual Science
at
York University, Toronto

York University and the Ontario Research Development
Challenge Fund invite applications for a newly established
Professorship in Visual Science. Applicants should have a
strong record of research in biological vision extending
over at least 10 years beyond their Ph.D. The appointment
could be in one or more of the departments of
Biology,Psychology, and Computer Science.The York
Centre for Vision Research consists of 16 faculty members
in Psychology, Biology, Computer Science, and
Philosophy. They conduct psychophysical, physiological
and computational investigations of a broad range of
topics including: spatial vision, eye-movement, attention,
clinical problems, the visual-vestibular system and
machine vision. The Centre has excellent research
facilities and strong links with the Centre for Research in
Earth and Space Technology, the Hospital for Sick
Children and the Eye Research Institute of Canada.
