Applications are invited for two postdoctoral positions in Don Miller's
laboratory in the Visual Optics Group at Indiana University. We have
recently been awarded part of an NSF Science & Technology Center grant to
develop adaptive optics for measuring and correcting the aberrations in the
human eye. This five year project will center on the development of a
high-resolution retinal camera that will combine adaptive optics with
optical coherence tomography. Postdoctoral fellows will have the
opportunity to collaborate with other members of the NSF Center
(http://www.ucolick.org/~cfao (under construction).
Qualifications for these positions include a Ph.D. and a strong background
in optics, with expertise preferably in optical coherence tomography and/or
adaptive optics. Knowledge of visual optics is not required, although
beneficial. Applications will be reviewed beginning immediately and
positions will remain open until filled.
The Visual Optics Group is part of Indiana University's School of
Optometry. It provides a rich scientific environment with significant
collaboration between experts in optical science, cornea and contact
lenses, ocular and retinal physiology, psychophysics, ophthalmic optics,
ocular disease, anatomy, and neuroscience. A clinical patient population
is easily accessible through the Borish Center for Ophthalmic Research.
Indiana University is an equal opportunity, affirmative action employer.
Applicants should send a CV, a summary of research interests, and the names
of three references to:
