Fundamental and Applied investigations of 3D vision

Centre for Vision Research, York University

A postdoctoral (or research associate) position is available
January 1st, 2000 at York University’s Centre for Vision Research. I am
searching for an enthusiastic individual with a background in
stereoscopic depth perception and visual psychophysics to conduct
experiments using large-field stereoscopic displays and natural stimuli.
Applications are welcome from individuals who have completed at least an
M.A. degree (or equivalent) in vision science or a related field.
Programming experience is a must; currently our lab uses Macintosh, SGI
and IBM platforms to run experiments. Knowledge of Matlab and C/C++
would definitely be an asset.

The York Centre for Vision Research consists of 18 faculty members with
primary appointments in Psychology, Biology, Computer Science, and
Philosophy. They conduct psychophysical, physiological and computational
investigations of a broad range of topics providing a stimulating
research environment. For more information please see our web site at
http://www.yorku.ca/dept/psych/yorkvis.

This is currently a 1 year position with the possibility of renewal. The
salary is consistent with current MRC/NSERC standards and will be
adjusted according to experience and skill level To apply please send a
copy of your C.V. and names of referees to Laurie Wilcox either by email
