Position available immediately at Molecular Vision laboratory at the University
of Illinois at Chicago to study mechanism of visual loss in transgenic models
for human retinal diseases and to develop strategies for gene therapy.
Applicants must have strong laboratory research skills and a Ph.D., preferably
with a specialization in vision research. Desirable background includes
research experience in molecular biology and biochemistry. The research
associate will play a key role in all aspects of a NIH grant-mandated research
plan. Salary: $30,000 to $45,000 per year depending on qualifications and
experience. The appointment is as a Research Associate and is for three years
