    Research Assistant in Low-Vision Research
    School of Optometry, Indiana University

    A full-time position for a research assistant is available at the
    Laboratory for Low-Vision Research at Indiana University School of
    Optometry. The position is funded by a research grant from the National
    Eye Institute. The goal of the research project is to study the limiting
    factors and potentialities of peripheral vision in relation to reading.
    Applicants must have a strong background in visual psychophysics, with a
    B.S. degree in vision science, optometry, psychology or other closely
    related fields. Experience in computer programming is highly desirable.

    Salary commences at $23,000 per year, depending on qualifications and

    appointment is for 12 months, with possible continuation based on
