RESEARCH/TECHNICAL ASSISTANT POSITION
Applications are invited for a research/technical assistant for research
in visual, cognitive and motor processes in schizophrenia. This
position is available in the Psychology Research Laboratory at McLean
Hospital, which is located in Belmont, Massachusetts. The starting date
can be as early as August 1, 2000.
The primary responsibility is to prepare and to run a series of
perceptual and eye movement experiments in the normal population and in
people with schizophrenia, and to help in processing the data.
Applicants should have a B.A. or B.S. in psychology, vision sciences,
neuroscience, or related scientific fields. Skills in quantitative
analysis and/or computer programming will be desired but not be
required. Salary will be commensurate with experience.
In addition to participating in ongoing research projects, this position
provides an excellent opportunity to learn many aspects of basic and
clinical research, which can be useful as preparation for graduate
school or professional training in related areas.
