Positions at the Moran Eye Center, University of Utah, Salt Lake City.
The newly established Central Visual Processing Research Group of the Moran
Eye Center, together with the Department of Mathematics, has open positions
for
postdoctoral Research Fellows (4) and an Assistant Professor (tenure track).
The tenure track position is for a unit physiologist interested in
exploring the organization of the primate visual cortex and its associated
subcortical nuclei; skills of the applicant could include optical or other
forms of imaging, work with alert behaving monkey preparations,
psychophysics, or other approaches.
The postdoctoral Fellows should have skills in one or more of the
following: neuroanatomy, neurophysiology, or neural modeling. All
candidates should be interested in collaborating in joint projects, where
the skills outlined are combined among the group to produce new
information concerning the working of the central visual pathways,
particularly cortical regions associated with vision.
The University of Utah is an Equal Opportunity Affirmative Action employer
and encourages applications from female and minority candidates.
