Postdoctoral Research Fellowship
FACIAL EXPRESSIONS RECOGNITION
Applications are invited for a 10 months Postdoctoral position, starting
on beginning of 2001, and working on facial expressions analysis and
recognition.
The research group - diagnosis - of the laboratory is involved in a
project dealing with Person-to-Machine Interaction tools. The objective
of the whole project is to develop new tools for audio and video
analysis and synthesis, in order to make the interaction person-machine
as natural as possible.
The diagnosis group is composed of researchers whose interests are:
signal and image processing, data analysis and pattern recognition.
Our role in the project concerns facial images analysis. Video sequence
analysis extracts low level descriptors of the face, which define the
global motion of the head as well as the local motion of feature points
of the face, and also high level descriptors, which will add semantic
information (expressions and emotion recognition).
Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer
science, or other related discipline. Monthly salary is 10500 FF after
taxes (funded by the CNRS).
Compiegne is 70 km from Paris (45 mn by train). For further information
