One or more positions are available for postdoctoral fellows or
graduate students to participate in experimental studies of signal
processing mechanisms in visual perception of motion and texture.
Approaches include: single unit electrophysiology, optical imaging,
human psychophysics and fMRI.
The starting date is flexible, and applications will be considered
until the positions are filled. International applications are
welcome. Previous experience with one or more of the following would
be desirable: training in vision research, single unit
neurophysiology, human psychophysics, intrinsic signal optical
imaging, quantitative skills, modeling, computer programming (Matlab,
C).
The laboratory is one of a close-knit group of vision labs having a
community of trainees and faculty who interact and collaborate on a
variety of interdisiplinary vision research projects. The lab group
is located in Montreal, a cosmopolitan as well as very liveable city.
