Journal of Vision: Call for Papers
The Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology (ARVO) is pleased
to announce the creation of the Journal of Vision (JOV), a scientific
periodical devoted to all aspects of visual function in humans and other
organisms.
Topics
The journal welcomes both experimental and theoretical articles; appropriate
topics range from basic visual sensitivities to visual cognition, from
psychophysics to visual neuroscience, and from the cornea to the visual
cortex. Clinical papers may be accepted if they illuminate basic aspects of
visual function.
Access
The Journal of Vision will be published exclusively in digital form on the
internet. Each complete article will be permanently archived and associated
with a unique and permanent URL (Uniform Resource Locator). No payment or
subscription will be required to access articles. The digital format will
allow articles to include color figures, images, multimedia, hyperlinks,
program code, and other digital enhancements. Annual volumes of JOV will
also be made available in CD-ROM format. The JOV address is
http://www.journalofvision.org/. A temporary version of the site is now
online.
