    Dear colleagues,

I'm a PhD student working in visual psychophysics. When using the method of
constant stimuli, I often wonder whether it is possible to know a priori
what is the best compromise between number of trials, of levels of the
variable and number of observers. I'm looking for theoretical reference(s)
related to this issue. If you know one or more, please let me know.

Thank you in advance for your reply.

    Sincerely

    Seb. Georges
