Post-Doctoral Positions in Medical Image analysis and deformable registration
Johns Hopkins University, School of Medicine
Post-doctoral positions are available at the newly formed Center for Biomedical
Image Computing , Department of Radiology, Johns Hopkins School of
Medicine. The successful candidate should have a background on Electrical
or Biomedical Engineering, or Computer Science, preferably with emphasis on
image processing and analysis, or computer vision. Experience on medical
imaging is highly desirable.
The successful candidate will be part of a diverse group including
engineers, radiologists, psychologists, physicists, and computer
scientists, and will build upon the group's previous work on brain
mapping. The research project will include the development and
validation of computational models and algorithms for neuroanatomy,
using shape analysis techniques. Emphasis will be placed on deformable
models and registration. These techniques will be applied to ongoing
brain imaging studies for stroke, Alzheimer's disease, and aging, as
well as on studies examining the relationship between brain morphology
and function.
