UNIVERSITY OF MANCHESTER INSTITUTE OF SCIENCE & TECHNOLOGY
Department of Optometry & Neuroscience
TWO NEUROSCIENCE LECTURESHIPS
As a result of the Department's major expansion in the field of
neuroscience, it will be making five additional appointments in this
field over the next few years. For 2001, applications are invited
for two Lectureships. A PhD and evidence of first-class research
potential are essential. Research interests should be compatible
with current activity in single-cell neurophysiology and brain
imaging. Familiarity with brain-slice techniques involving
neurophysiology, neuropharmacology, neuroanatomy, developmental
neurobiology, or molecular neurobiology would be an advantage. A
start-up package will be available and initial teaching and
administration loads will be kept to a minimum.
Salary will be in the Lecture scale 18,7311 - 30,967 GBP per annum.
Starting date is 1 May 2001, or as soon as possible thereafter.
Closing date for applications is 23 February 2001.
