POSTDOCTORAL POSITION: VISUAL PSYCHOPHYSICS
A postdoctoral position is available for psychophysical research on
coordinate transformation in visual aftereffects and visual-motor
adaptation. This is for a NIH-funded joint project between S. Shimojo's
and R. Andersen's laboratories at Caltech. The ideal candidate would have
a broad background in experimental psychology, electrophysiology, eye
movements and other behavioral analyses, electric engineering, and/or
computer science. Salary is competitive and dependent on qualifications.
The appointment may be renewable after the first year. Caltech is an
AA/EOE. Women, minorities, veterans and disabled persons areencouraged to
apply. Please send a letter of application, a curriculum vitae, and three

"The development of auditory-visual localization in human infants"
Recent Ph.D. is being sought for an NIH-funded project investigating
intersensory perceptual development in human infants. We are investigating
how infants integrate auditory and visual information on the basis of
spatial and temporal information (using video-based behavioral recording
and computational modeling techniques) and how the effects of experience
influence such integration. We are seeking a candidate with an experimental
background in developmental, cognitive, vision, or neuro sciences.
Familiarity with software programming techniques is required and some
expertise with hardware/software implementation for behavioral studies is
highly desirable. Competitive salary and benefits are offered with the
position. The California Institute of Technology is an AA/EOE. Women,
minorities, veterans and disabled persons areencouraged to apply. Caltech
is located 10-15 minutes north of downtown Los Angeles. For inquiries
please contact Dr. Shinsuke Shimojo either by e-mail at
sshimojo@caltech.edu or by phone at (626) 395-2361.
