    POSTDOCTORAL POSITION IN NEURAL PROSTHETICS

    A postdoctoral position is available immediately in Professor Richard Andersen’s laboratory to perform animal studies on the feasibility of developing a neural prosthetic for paralyzed patients. Arrays of electrodes will be implanted in the posterior parietal cortex and the signals recorded and decoded to determine the movement intentions of the animals. The ideal candidate would have experience in electrophysiology, neurophysiology, and animal behavior. Also a background in bioengineering, biomedical engineering, electrical engineering, experimental physics, or related disciplines would be adventageous.
