Postdoctoral Research Associate in Cognitive Neuroscience
£18,731 pa
Applications are invited for the above post, which is funded by a Medical
Research Council grant entitled "Visual perception and visuomotor control in
spatial neglect". The grant forms part of a newly awarded Co-operative
Group and will be partly based in the new Wolfson Research Institute at the
University's Stockton-on-Tees campus. The work will involve close
collaboration at all stages of research, from experimental design, selection
and testing of neurological patients and normal subjects, through to data
analysis and oral and written presentation of the research. Applicants
should have a higher degree in psychology, cognitive neuroscience, or a
related discipline. Research experience in human neuropsychology and/or
computer programming ability would be advantageous. The successful applicant
should be able to work autonomously and flexibly to generate new research as
well as to conduct the studies outlined in the grant. The position is
tenable for 3 years and has a starting date of 1 July 2001 or as soon as
possible thereafter.

perception". The grant forms part of a newly awarded Co-operative Group and
will be partly based in the new Wolfson Research Institute at the University
's Stockton-on-Tees campus. The work will involve close collaboration at
all stages of research, from experimental design, testing of neurological
patients and normal subjects using functional MRI and conventional
psychophysics, through to data analysis and oral and written presentation of
the research. Applicants should have a higher degree in psychology,
cognitive neuroscience, or a related discipline. Research experience in
human psychophysics and/or computer programming ability would be
advantageous. The successful applicant should be able to work autonomously
and flexibly to generate new research as well as to conduct the studies
