PostDoctoral-I Position in Adaptive Optics Retinal Imaging
A position is available immediately for a PhD-level postdoctoral fellow in
the retinal imaging laboratory of Austin Roorda at the University of
Houston College of Optometry. The postdoc will be involved in NSF and NIH
funded projects involving the continued development and clinical use of a
scanning laser ophthalmoscope equipped with adaptive optics. The main goal
of the project is to study microscopic structures, such as photoreceptors,
in living human eyes. The preferred candidate will have experience in some
of the following areas: adaptive optics, visual optics, retinal imaging
(particularly scanning laser ophthalmoscopy), computer programming (C++,
MatLab, LabView) and image processing. The appointment will be from 1-3
years and the salary will depend on the level of experience.
