The GRASP Laboratory at the University of Pennsylvania has an opening
for a post-doctoral researcher in the tele-immersion project. As a
member of the National Tele-immersion Intiative we developed the first
testbed for near real-time tele-immersion, featured in the April 2001
issue of Scientific American
(http://www.sciam.com/2001/0401issue/0401lanier.html).
We are seeking creative researchers with experience in computer vision
and/or computer graphics and the willingness to make things work in
real-time and be visually compelling. The prospective researcher will
have a key-role in our collaboration with world leaders in computer
graphics and interaction technology and contribute to the further
development of tele-immersion technology.
Depending on the applicant's experience the position can be upgraded
regarding salary and title.
