POST-DOCTORAL FELLOW/DIRECTOR OF CLINICAL RESEARCH POSITION IN BINOCULAR VISION AND OPTICS RESEARCH JOINTLY AT THE RETINA FOUNDATION OF THE SOUTHWEST AND THE EYE CARE AND SURGERY CENTER, DALLAS, TX.
A post-doctoral fellow/ clinical research director/ coordinator position is available to work jointly at the Retina Foundation of the Southwest (RFSW) and the Eye Care and Surgery Center in Dallas, Texas. The candidate should be interested in the application and development of new technologies and vision research tools to evaluate the progression of eye disease (including visual function) in patients with various eye diseases including glaucoma and cataracts and in patients who are undergoing surgical treatment with LASIK and intraocular lenses. The successful candidate will be exposed to advanced retinal imaging techniques, focal and multi-focal ERG techniques as well as a variety of psychophysical and computational techniques. Candidates should have a strong background in vision science, optics and/or pharmacology with the desire to apply basic research technology to a clinical population. Experience with adaptive optics and/or retinal imaging technology will be helpful. Salary will commiserate with experience.
