    Final call for papers
    Aging Retina and Early Degeneration
    October 25-27, 2001
    Boston

    Abstracts due: August 14, 2001

Please register and submit your abstract using

Abstracts welcomed from a broad variety of approaches on aging and vision,
including both normal changes in the lifespan throughout development and
early disease mechanisms. What are the genetic and environmental factors
that influence both aging changes and disease?

We feature a core of invited talks (see below). We will also have a small
number of presentations from representatives of federal institutions or
    interest groups on this topic.

"The effects of aging on choroidal neovascularization in rodents"
      Karl Csaky,National Eye Institute

"The effects of aging on the development of subretinal deposits in mice"
      Scott Cousins, University of Miami

"Visual adaptation and age-related disease: are there gender-dependent
    differences?"
      Al Eisner, Neurological Sciences Institute

    "Epidemiology of age-related maculopathy"
      Caroline Klaver

"Math-5 and Brn-3 in retinal ganglion cell development"
      Lin Gan, University of Rochester

"Aging of the RPE: the telomere hypothesis"
