WELLCOME FUNDED RESEARCH ASSOCIATE
A vacancy exists for a cognitive neuroscientist in the Department of
Physiology, University of Oxford, to work on the neural bases of
crossmodal integration in humans (predominantly audio-visual) using MEG
and fMRI. The post is funded by the Wellcome Trust and is for up to 4
years.
Relevant recent experience in the fields of experimental psychology, or
human functional imaging (primarily fMRI and/or MEG) would be desirable.
Duties will include organising and preparing experiments, recruiting and
scheduling research participants, behavioural testing, and the acquiring
and analysing of fMRI and MEG data. Those with interest may become
involved in the interpretation of results and in the write-up of research
findings. Special consideration will be given to candidates with
statistical and programming skills and/or background in psychophysiology
or cognitive neurosciences. Applications are sought from individuals who
have recently attained a PhD, or from graduates with relevant experience.
Remuneration will be made at
a level commensurate with the qualifications of the appointee (Wellcome
Scales).
