2001 AVA-CG Post-Graduate Meeting
2 November 2001- University of Newcastle upon Tyne
This is an announcement for the joint Colour Group (CG) and Applied
Vision Association (AVA) Post-Graduate Meeting taking place in Newcastle
on Friday 2nd of November 2001.
This is a half-day meeting open to all to attend but the presentations
will be given by post-graduates or recent PhDs.
PhD students in all areas of colour and vision are invited to
submit a short abstract (half a side of A4) for inclusion in the
meeting (please state preference for poster or talk presentation). There
will be cash prizes for the best poster and the best talk.
The keynote speaker will be Professor Roger Watt from the University of
Stirling.
Past meetings have been an opportunity for lively exchanges between PhDs
from all over the country and with different interests in vision and
colour.
Newcastle is famous for its night life and attendants will be encouraged
to make arrangements for an overnight/weekend stay (you need a chance to
spend that prize money!).
Please submit abstracts to Marina Bloj (m.bloj@brad.ac.uk) or Andrew
Welchman (a.e.welchman@ncl.ac.uk) before 5 of October 2001.
