The Brain and Vision Laboratory in the Biomedical Engineering
Laboratory at Boston University announces an opening for a full

plasticity in the human brain, with special emphasis on stroke
recovery and perceptual learning. For details of the lab interests
see http://www.bu.edu/eng/labs/bravi/
Duties will include managing all aspects of the laboratory
including scheduling research
participants, data collection and organization in the database,
summarizing and analyzing the experimental results, preparing data
and artwork for publication and assisting in the write-up of research
findings. Additional duties training undergraduate students in in
the use of laboratory equipment and experimental software, preparing
research reports and IRB applications. The postholder may also get
involved in fMRI data analysis and visualization.
Minimum requirements for this position include a college degree, some
computer expertise (familiarity with multi-platforms networks:
MacIntosh, PCs, Linux), Powerpoint, Excel, Photoshop and various

psychophysics or cognitive neurosciences. Relevant recent experience
in the fields of experimental psychology, or human functional imaging
(preferably fMRI) would be desirable. The ideal candidates would
have some experience or a high interest for experimental research and
a genuine curiosity for cognitive/perceptual processes and their
underlying brain events. Start date flexible (September 2001
