Assistant Professorship or Postdoctoral Fellowship in Vision
Correction. A fellowship is available for a Ph.D., O.D., or M.D. to
join a team engaged in improving methods for vision correction.
Rochester has recently constructed a strong research group called the
Alliance for Vision Excellence that brings together basic scientists,
engineers, clinical researchers, and corporate partners to move
innovative ideas in ophthalmic optics from conception to
commercialization. Experience in optics and aberration theory, tissue
biomechanics, laser refractive surgery, contact or intraocular lens
design, or physiological optics is highly desirable. Those seeking an
assistant professor position may apply for a position in either the
Department of Biomedical Engineering or the Department of
Ophthalmology. For additional information see
http://www.cvs.rochester.edu/. Applicants should submit a curriculum
vitae and names of three references to: David R. Williams, Director,
Center for Visual Science, University of Rochester, Rochester, NY
14627-0270. The University of Rochester is an equal opportunity
employer.
