POST-DOCTORAL RESEARCH POSITION IN VISUAL NEUROSCIENCE
The position is available immediately in the laboratory of Dr.Tatiana
Pasternak at the University of Rochester. Research in the laboratory
is focused on neuronal mechanisms underlying processing and
remembering visual motion in non-human primates. Experimental
approaches include: visual psychophysics, single-cell & multi-cell
recordings, microstimulation and reversible inactivation of selected
cortical regions during the performance of visual working memory
tasks.
Preference will be given to candidates with experience in visual
psychophysics and single unit recordings in monkeys, although
candidates with strong background in related disciplines of systems
neuroscience are welcome to apply. Programming experience with
Matlab or C is very desirable. Proficient knowledge of the English
language is required.
The laboratory is part of the Center for Visual Science which offers
a stimulating research environment and excellent opportunities for
interactions and training in visual science and cognitive
neuroscience. Interested applicants should send CV, a short statement
of interests and the names of three references to Dr. Tatiana
Pasternak at tania@cvs.rochester.edu.
